Trump vetoes Iran war powers resolution

President Trump Wednesday vetoed a resolution that said he must get a nod from Congress before engaging in military action against Iran, calling it ’insulting’. ’This was a very insulting resolution, introduced by Democrats as part of a strategy to win an election on November 3 by dividing the Republican Party,’ he said in a statement. The Senate is expected to hold a veto-override vote Thursday.

Hmm, a conservative going against the constitution in order to be a hawk and war monger to spend more American lives, go figure. Business as usual :)

Hopefully this gets congress to pass a law restricting executive powers to engage in military action without a declaration of war... it won’t, but we can hope.
