BA hopes to revive flights in July but expect downturn to continue for some time

BA owner IAG expects ’meaningful return’ of flights from July and backs passenger temperature checks at airports after an easing of COVID-19 curbs. Chief executive Willie Walsh said group-wide restructuring was ’essential in order to get through the crisis’ and preserve cash - the company own Iberia and Aer Lingus. The airline expects a downturn until 2023 reporting $1.5bn in losses for Q1 2020.
