The UK economy is heading for its worst crash in 300 years

The Bank of England warned Thursday that the economy could suffer its deepest annual contraction in more than 3 centuries as a result of the pandemic shrinking by 14% this year. That would be the biggest annual contraction since a decline of 15% in 1706. The bank thinks that the economy could revive quickly if the pandemic comes under control globally, with an unprecedented growth of 15% next year
