Zoom acquires Keybase to get end-to-end encryption expertise

Zoom has said that it has acquired Keybase for an undisclosed amount, a startup with encryption expertise. Keybase, has been building encryption products including secure file sharing and collaboration tools. This should help Zoom in providing some security credibility as it has faced a number of security issues for couple of months as demand soared and exposed security weaknesses in the platform.

This is ridiculous. Most of the "security issues" blame, falls on the user for originally not enabling passwords, and/or someone inside a classroom setting giving the password out to someone who then "bombed." This is their reaction to balance public opinion, even though their encryption has been just as secure as any other platform for a long while.
