US to remove Patriot missile batteries from Saudi Arabia

The US is removing Patriot anti-missile systems, along with other military assets, from Saudi Arabia as it winds down a build-up that began when tensions with Iran flared up last year. The systems were installed following a series of attacks on the oil facilities last year. Two US fighter squadrons have left the region, and a reduction of the US Navy presence in the Persian Gulf is also expected.

This seems in direct retaliation for the Saudis playing the price war game and trying to kill our Shale and Natural Gas industries. (The Saudis don’t like either of those because it allows us to keep from being dependent on them for fuel.)
