EU accepts Chinese censorship in co-authored letter prior to it being published

A letter co-signed by 27 EU Ambassadors to Beijing celebrating 45 years of diplomatic relations has been censored by China. The EU Foreign Service agreed to cut out a reference to the ’outbreak of the coronavirus in China’ as reason for a cancelled EU-China summit.
