Britain to introduce 14-day quarantine for arrivals

Britain plans to introduce a 14-day quarantine period for almost everyone arriving into the country. This is expected to be announced by PM Boris Johnson in an address to the nation on Sunday. This will cover Britons returning from abroad too. The measures are likely to come into force in early June.

They did that in Canada. The measure consisted of someone in the airport telling the person to go to quarantine for 14 days. That's it. No check, no follow up, no records, nothing. Meanwhile, if you travel to China, you are forced to go to a designated quarantine hotel, and you have to pay for your stay until 14 day is over. Which one do you think actually works?

A bit late but the UK government declassified Covid as a high consequence infectious disease on March 19th due to low overall mortality rates so probably felt it was unnecessary.

I wonder how this will affect illegal immigration.
