Food parcels handed out by volunteers in Geneva, Switzerland

One of Europe’s wealthiest countries saw people queue for more than 1 kilometer to receive food handouts. Some were undocumented workers who’ve been able to survive without handouts until the coronavirus epidemic. The Caritas charity estimates about 660,000 people are considered poor in Switzerland, which has a population of nearly 8.6 million. Around 1500 food parcels were distributed in Geneva

Seems to me that the picture shows very few “Swiss” people...almost like how Italy’s problems started by having too many migrant workers who are by definition economically precarious
