UK Government defend ’stay alert’ slogan while announcing some lockdown easing

Leaders of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland united in opposition to the prime minister’s new slogan ’stay alert’ claiming it sent mixed messages. PM Boris Johnson announced some easing of lockdown restrictions, including saying those who could not work from home should return to the workplace - but avoid public transport. He also said shops may reopen soon with schools following from 01 Jun.
