66 percent of COVID-19 hospitalizations in New York are people in home isolation

A study of hospitals conducted last week found that in New York, 66 percent of 1,000 patients were people who were staying at home. Of the new hospitalizations, 73 percent were people aged 51 or above, and out of these, 96 percent had underlying health issues.

the overall downward trend in New York while cases are still increasing elsewhere says new York did the right thing. also, if more people are staying home, OF COURSE more cases will come from those staying at home, that's how numbers work. but it does seem like PEOPLE are going to be the weak link in any plan.

The 66% that are staying at home could be reinterperted To further prove that it's highly contageous and social distancing is working. That despite the fact most people only go out for food and the numbers are still increasing that doesnt give me confidence in reopening. I guess we will see what the numbers do 2-3 weeks after relaxing guidelines.
