’Coronavirus hairstyle’ gets popular in East Africa

Hairstylists in Kenya’s biggest slum, looking to spur business, are offering clients a braided look inspired by COVID-19. Stylists say the popularity is in part due to economic hardships linked to virus restrictions. The style is cheap in cost, and some say it even helps spread awareness about the coronavirus. Kenya has recorded 672 COVID-19 cases and 32 deaths.
