Venezuelan opposition advisers resign after failed operation to oust Maduro

Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido has accepted the resignation of his adviser Juan Rendon, after he acknowledged discussions with a US security firm to topple President Maduro. Another adviser Sergio Vergara, too, has resigned. Rendon said that while he negotiated an agreement with the firm, the deal fell apart. Goudreau, Rendon said, then went ahead with an operation led by ex-US soldiers.
