Frontline worker dies of COVID-19 after being spat at while on duty

A railway station worker in the UK died last month from COVID-19 after she was spat at and coughed over by someone claiming to have the virus. Transport union said Belly Mujinga, 47, contracted the virus with a colleague within days of the assault in London. Mujinga’s condition worsened as she suffered from underlying respiratory problems. British Transport Police are investigating the incident.

Not sure if they will find that person. If they don't, the powers that be (universe or you fill in the blank) will. This is when I am forced to remember that we are, indeed, animals. Some act way more like it than others, though. Sorry for loss of this beautiful woman.

"Even if the police, having found the suspect, could establish he had tested positive for Covid-19 at the time of the assault, it would still be difficult to prove to the criminal standard that he caused this woman’s tragic death. This is primarily because she could have caught it from any number of other sources."
