Unreleased WH report shows COVID-19 rates spiking in heartland communities

As per an unreleased report obtained by NBC News, coronavirus infection rates are spiking to new highs in several metropolitan areas and smaller communities across the US. The 10 top areas recorded surges of 72.4% or greater over a seven-day period compared to the previous week. They include Nashville, Des Moines, Amarillo; topped by Central City in Kentucky.

I really don't care about the case numbers (especially because they could very well be inflated). The hospitalization rates should be a much more reliable tracker of severe cases.
