LA will keep stay-at-home orders through to August as deaths rise

LA County will likely extend its Covid-19 containment measures until the end of July, a top health official said, as infections and deaths continue to rise . LA County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer said the timeline will only change if LA sees a ’dramatic change to the virus’. Mayor Garcetti, reacting to Ferrer, said that they will adjust the stay-at-home order to allow more activities.

Deaths with covid 19 is a useless statistic. This is the first pandemic in history that we will never have numbers on to compare to similar historical events. California and New York will see even more massive citizens exodus to states with more reasonable and scientifically based policies in place. There was a time when California was a state that some envied. Now I can't think of anything that would make living there worth it and the numbers agree with me.

We can thank all those Republican protesters encouraged by Trump to go out and get their states to open up. Those people were out there not wearing masks and certainly not paying any attention to social distancing recommendations. We know they won't accept any responsibility for their actions and the rise of cases and deaths, anymore than Trump accepts responsibility for his inaction. They've directly caused this extended stay-at-home order, but now they'll just complain more. They're too stupid to recognize that they are the cause of this effect.

If Trump had pushed harder (or at all) for testing early many of these deaths might have been avoided. Those testing positive would have isolated themselves instead of infecting others, possibly even going to a crowded beach, or the store in line behind you..

There's an enemy outside, and we're on the FrOnT LiNeS just like soldiers! You can't see the enemy, so just wait for your unelected health secretaries to tell you if we can walk at the park or feel sunshine on your face. It's a deadly virus so make sure you don't gather, assemble, speak, or voice your displeasure with the government. Also surrender your guns because gun oil actually makes the virus stronger and it's PeOpLe LiKe YoU why we keep having new outbreaks.

They're smoking dope if they think people will sit home until August! Good luck trying to enforce it...
