Elon Musk restarts Tesla factory in California in violation of lockdown order

Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed Monday that the company has restarted its California factory in violation of local government orders, and said if anyone had to be arrested it should be him. State law allows a fine of up to $1,000 a day or up to 90 days in jail for operating in violation of health orders. Gov. Gavin Newsom, however, expressed surprise at the development and asked for more details.

I think people forgetting that Elon is an actual genius with a proven record of success. It might not have occurred to them that he has access to better information as well as a higher IQ to make judgements about acceptable levels of safety. This guy has been moving the world towards a brighter future for years now. I think it's fair to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Legendary energy right here. This is America. F@ck those Nazi assh0les. They messed up and can't admit the lockdown was too extreme. If you want to stay home because you are paralysed by media enduced fear then go for it, but you have no right or authority to stop free men from doing as they please provided it doesn't prevent anyone else from doing the same.

Way to go Elon! I hope other businesses follow his lead. The lockdowns need to end. I am not saying we go back to business as usual, but we cannot keep the economy closed any longer.

If any employee goes to hospital due to COVID-19, that person can sue Musk. This is not the first time, Musk has shown poor judgement. Greed, success or both has got into his head.
