Study: 26.8 million people could lose employer health coverage in downturn

Roughly 27M Americans may have lost their health insurance after sweeping layoffs during the pandemic, according to a study by the Kaiser Family Foundation. ’Between March 1st and May 2nd, 2020, more than 31 million people had filed for unemployment insurance,’ notes the report. Along with losing their jobs, Americans who previously had health insurance through their employers will lose that, too.

But the lockdown is 100% worthwhile. No negative effects what so ever. No reason to consider stopping the lockdown due to economic concerns. These people will just get Medicaid and Medicare and there will be no consequences for the already ineffective and inefficient system. Nope lockdown should totally be indefinite and without purpose.
