Delta Air Lines announced on Thu May 14 that it would no longer fly Boeing 777 wide-body aircraft. The workhorse of the ultra-long-haul market, along with the MD-90s, will retire by the end of the year, to be replaced on those routes by more fuel efficient Airbus 350s and 330s when international demand returns.
