Regardless of what happened in those 4 minutes, unless they saw Ahmaud commit a crime, they could not pursue him like they did. What they did was unnecesary escalation, and because of it. It is murder. Regardless of whether Ahmaud was a thief or not, they did not know that and therefore stalked and killed a man for simple suspicion. These idiots are what give gun owners bad names. This is not a Ex-cop vs Black issue, this is an Idiots vs Unknown problem.

He was jogging? WTF this summary is flat out biased. His family alleges he was jogging, and we have footage showing him inside a construction site, you know, not jogging. F ing hell News Voice, at least pretend to be neutral and present facts not one side's unproven allegations. Whoever wrote this summary should not be allowed to write others, or NV should allow alternate summaries alongside or something.

The instigation of a murder. Absolutely no reason to pursue him, he damaged nothing and stole nothing. Even the homeowner wants nothing to do with these vigilantes. They murdered a man and justice needs to be served.

Yet more holes poked in the premeditated murder narrative, though does nothing for/against the case of the killing being justified under Georgia 'citizens arrest' law.

Honestly, even if Arbery was looking to steal something it doesn't really matter. What those three guys did wasn't an attempted citizens arrest. It was vigilantism and murder.

How not to act toward people with guns. Aurbrey on police bodycam 2017 https://youtu.be/1v7o_6uI9R0 Seems like the guardian cut out a bunch of the video, as a news organization that is not good practice. It's not that we don't trust you. Well actually it is. Police report mentions you cut out part about suspended license and bag of marijuana in car. PDF https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/may/18/ahmaud-arbery-police-taser-2017-georgia https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NB84hbTOdL2Hbxlv6BM1luvJXwB6MrIk/view?usp=sharing Also from investigation. At guardian page above. The video made by William Bryan clearly shows the shooting in realtime. From said video it appears Ahmaud Arbery was running along the right side of the McMichael truck then abruptly turns 90 degrees to the left and attacks Travis McMichaelwho was standing at the front left corner ofthetruck . A brief skirmish ensues in which it appear Arbery strikes McMichael and appears to grab the shotgun andpull it from McMichael The shot is through Arbery s right hand palm which is consistent with him grabbing and pulling the shotgun at the barrel tip , the 2nd and 3rd wounds are consistentwith the struggle for the shotgun as depicted in the video , the angle of the 2nd shot with the rear of the buttstock being pushed away and down from the fight arealso consistent with the upward angle ofblood plume shown in the video and that McMichael was attempting to push the gun away from Arbery while Arbery was pulling it toward himself. The 3rd shot too appears to be in a struggle over the gun. The angle of the shots and the video show this was from the beginning or almost immediately became-- a fight over the shotgun . Given the fact Arbery initiated the fight, at the point Arbery grabbed the shotgun, under Georgia Law , McMichael was allowed to use deadly force to protect himself. Just as importantly, while weknow McMichael had his finger on the trigger, we do notknow who caused the firings. Arbery would only had to pull the shotgun approximately 1/ 16th to 1/ 8th of one inch to fire weapon himself and in the height of an altercation this is entirely possible. Arbery s mentalhealth records & prior convictions help explain his apparent aggressive nature and his possible thoughtpattern to attack an armed man .

The murderers should get life without possibility of parole. Anything less is unacceptable.
