McDonald’s accused over ’systemic sexual harassment’ of employees worldwide

An international group of labour unions has filed a complaint against McDonald’s for ’systemic sexual harassment’ at the fast food chain’s restaurants around the world. The complaint cited cases of ’touching, forced kissing and other forms of unwanted bodily contact’. In France, it cited a case in which a McDonald’s manager allegedly ’installed a cellphone camera in the women’s changing room’.

I always find it hard when I see Australia mentioned here because I know the laws around it. If you make a complaint and they cut back your hours as the story claims, the company will get fined and you'll get compensated sometimes even more than you would have gotten otherwise. If someone makes an unwanted sexual move you tell their boss, if they do nothing just go to the police with it. The majority of the time if there is something there the police will take out off the company's hands. Companies really don't want that publicity so they tend to straighten things up pretty quickly at that point.
