Early data on Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine insufficient: Report

Vaccine experts have expressed scepticism about the Covid-19 vaccine trial results announced by Moderna, saying the information provided is not sufficient. Moderna said Monday the vaccine candidate produced protective antibodies in a group of healthy volunteers.

The past attempts at SARS vaccine have resulted in immunopathology and I don't expect that the current situation will be much different. There is no reason to assume that just because many researchers are working hard, and substantial investments are being made that there will be a vaccine that is safe and effective in dealing with COVID 19. There are likely much better short term strategies and treatments that should be pursued, including hydroxychloroquine.
