Rolls-Royce to cut 9,000 jobs amid pandemic

Rolls Royce is to cut 9,000 jobs from its global staff of 52,000 workforce as the aerospace giant navigates the economic fallout from the pandemic. The Derby-based firm, which makes plane engines, said the reduction of nearly a fifth of its workforce would mainly affect its civil aerospace division. The bulk of the job cuts are expected to be in the UK.
