Spain makes masks compulsory in public

Spain has made it compulsory for all citizens, including children, to wear masks in public spaces. The Health Ministry order said the masks would be needed from May 21 for indoor public spaces and outdoors when impossible to maintain social distancing. The government is aiming to lift most of the lockdown by the end of June unless there is a second wave.

If it turns out to be true that masks increase the risk of sickness due to moisture the Spanish govt is going to look even stupider than it already does.

I'll wear a mask to hide my face from the contact tracers, pay with cash, and wrap my phone in aluminum foil. Make it as difficult as possible for them to track me right now.

Law makers are fun species. They think making a law has a bearing on people a priori. Government gains its power through consent of its people. Once you get too sketchy in laws you make, all the laws will become fiction on some paper. You sit there and watch how many people actually will listen.
