Eating wild animals banned in Wuhan

Eating wild animals banned in Wuhan

The eating of wild animals has been banned in Wuhan, the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic. The spread of the novel coronavirus disease has been linked to the wet markets in the city and hence this has led to the government banning the sale and eating of wild animals.

But what will they blame the next escaped disease on?

Ridiculous, people have survived on wild game for millennia. If anything tighten standards on food handling. This law would only cut away a market not be taxed by their government and support their narrative that the pandemic was just a fluke from a wet market.

Is this Chinas “Mad Cow” moment? Yes communism starved the population to the point they would eat anything with legs so long as it wasn’t a table, but will this actually be enforced?

Why can't people look at China today and get a real understanding of why socialism is a very bad idea? After all they refuse to look at Russia when it was a socialist republic. But I guess like everything else in history, they'll prove how they did it wrong!!

Glad to hear that the Chinese government has done this but it is not enough. They need to close down all the wet marlets in China or another disease will appear.

How is this going to affect their traditional Chinese medicine? Hope they did the same with endangered species too

Very simple, before eating whatever meat they eat it will be declared posthumously domesticated.

Does anyone know if China is enforcing the ban on tiger and rhino bones/horns? Last I heard they wanted to lift the ban but we're armstrung into not doing it by the international community. They really need to get their priorities straight. Also they finally changed the classification of dogs and cats to pets from lifestock. Bunch of savages. In my opinion, they're worse than the Mongols they claimed were barbarians.

But...where will they get their bats?
