Canadian University suggests cannabis CBD can block the entry way of COVID-19

The University of Lethbridge lead research showed that cannabidiol (CBD), an ingredient in cannabis can block the proteins that provide a ’gateway’ to the virus to enter our body. The virus gains a foothold on the enzyme angiotensin-converting enzyme II (ACE2) present in our body. CBD is said to modulate gene expression and inflammation which might ultimately block the virus’s entry.
