Firing of State Department watchdog defended by Mike Pompeo

Mike Pompeo, the Secretary of State of the United States defended the firing of Steve Linick, the State Department Inspector General, on Wednesday. Mr. Pompeo said that the decision to oust Mr. Linick should have been taken ’some time ago’. Mr. Pompeo’s actions have come under congressional scrutiny.

No need to defend the firing, the POTUS lost confidence that the IG could do his job. Nothing controversial in the guy getting fired for that.
