Powerful cyclone renders 20 dead in coastal India and Bangladesh

Cyclone Amphan hit coastal India and Bangladesh with winds up to 170 kilometers (105 miles) per hour and maximum gusts of 190 kph (118 mph). The casualties involved 8 in Bangladesh and 12 in West Bengal state in India confirmed dead whereas the count is uncertain in Odisha. The majority of deaths were caused as a result of collapse of walls, drowning, and falling of trees.
