Oxfam International, a leading aid agency, has said that it will phase out physical presence in 18 countries as part of a restructuring programme due to the pandemic. Countries it will be exiting include Afghanistan, Egypt, Rwanda, Sudan and Tanzania. It said the changes will affect around 1,450 out of nearly 5,000 staff and that there will be an impact on 700 of its 1,900 partner organizations.
