Trump considering pulling out of Open Skies Treaty

United States President Donald Trump is reportedly considering to withdraw from the Open Skies Treaty, a major arms control agreement. The same was confirmed by numerous sources on Thursday. The Treaty’s 35 signatories can fly unarmed observation flights over each other in order to provide transparency and avoid misconceptions that could lead to war.

Based on the first article above, we see that the military flew over the Ukraine following Russian seizures of Crimea . Then he's ending US involvement in the treaty to keep the Russians from flying over our skies. Sounds to me like Trump is definitely in collusion with the Russians and is just pretending to be wary of them as a form of misdirection. In sure CNN will make that claim.

It's time to stop pretending that the treaty is worth keeping when it is violated. Looks like the world is loosening a lot of these treaties in order to have the flexibility to do what they feel they need to.

You're wondering so, the 35 state parties to the Open Skies treaty are: Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark (including Greenland), Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, the Russian Federation, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

trump seems to be in a race to see how many treaties and agreements he can tank. most presidents wait until they are lame duck before doing something vindictive and pointlessly destructive.

If Russia violated the agreement the threat to pull out should 100% be issued.

While its good that we are interacting with treaties when they are being violated, i still believe its part of what will move us closer to midnight.

I consider it right, there are already satellites for that, flights made by other powers and the easiest and cheapest way of spying. The aerospace industry is more difficult, rockets, microchips, communication ...It's like poker pay to see
