Goldman Sachs estimates India’s economy to contract by 45% in the June quarter

Goldman Sachs predicted that India’s GDP will contract by 45 percent at an annual rate in the second quarter compared to the previous quarter (seasonally adjusted). This is more than double Goldman’s earlier forecast for the same period — a 20 percent decline. However, they expect growth to rebound in third quarter of the year.
