Bots may account for nearly half of Twitter accounts pushing for US reopening

Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University suspect that almost half of the Twitter accounts pushing misinformation about COVID-19 and calling for ’reopening America’ may actually be bots. The study examined more than 200 million tweets discussing the virus since January and found that about 45% were sent by accounts that behave more like computerized robots than humans.

There is no link to this 'study' in any of the articles, and a brief glance at this 'bot sentinel', that apparently labels people 'trollbots' or 'untrustworthy' based heavily on subjective reasoning, makes me question all of the information being presented here.

So a bunch of biased lefties at a college make admittedly unverified and essentially baseless claims that everyone disagreeing with them are bots. How is this news or even different from everyday leftie BS?

"We use machine learning and artificial intelligence to classify accounts," Bouzy says. "Back in 2018, I trained the initial model using 2,500 normal Twitter accounts, and 2500 inauthentic accounts I was tracking ..." i see... hahhahhahahahhahahhaahah i wonder how accurate it is... hhahhahhaah i mean even if we belive in complete unbiased amzing idenification.. (hahhahahahah) coming from somone who've actually learned to code and mechin learning and understning of how ai works.. there are soo many factors wich could mss with the data.. i mean basiclly.. most simply put it's unreliable... to give a example.. have you ever reserve image serched on goole a piano and got a photo of a duck as a similarity.. Any study on bots pushing shutdowns? Russia, PRC, NK, 7th century cult governments of the middle east etc would love countries such as the US to remain in shutdown as long as possible. Just to kcuf their economies over.

So in other words Twitter is set up to encourage people to interact with each other like software or risk being dogpiled and censored for wrong-think.
