Trump warns governors to let places of worship open

President Trump declared that places of worship, churches, synagogues and mosques, are providing essential services and thus should be opened as soon as possible. Warning state governors who refuse his appeal, Trump said, ’If they don’t do it, I will override the governors. In America, we need more prayer, not less’.

So liquor stores are essential because people need to be able to sit at home and get drunk but places of worship that provide a sense of community cohesion and support during a time of crisis are not.. well now we can see where some people's priorities rest.

Not that I'm religious, but any way people can find comfort to combat fear and uncertainty is essential. You two should shut the fuck up. You two faggots would be complaining if the very same people practiced social distancing while protesting an abortion clinic.

I haven't been to church in awhile and had started looking for one in my area to go to back in December/January. As soon as I found a few I wanted to check out, Corona-Chan came to town. Since then I've been partaking in mass through livestreams and it's just not the same. It has been helpful in whittling down some of my picks. Although it's not just about the clergy, it's more so interacting with fellow church goer's. Needless to say I look forward to finally being able to find a congregation and place of worship in person.

How dare the President tell state governors that the people can worship God. The state governors wanted people worshipping them!

Thank you. We all deserve the freedom to assess our own levels of acceptable risk. The government has no authority to take that away from us. We should not and will not accept totalitarian policies. If you continue to push the subject the "leaders" will quickly become the water for the tree of freedom.

While appreciated it doesn't matter no President or Governor or Mayor can keep people from worshiping. Arresting Priests and Pastors probably won't go over well.

Freedom is just another word for "nothing left to lose"... The Democrats want control. Total and complete control.

Given how things are, and how much technology we have for remote sermons and plenty of platforms to do such things, and given that most church goers are the sickest, oldest, and most vulnerable... It's a dangerous pandering move that maybe have grave repercussions.

U can pray anywhere... Even I.n The parking lot. At a safe distance...ur religious preference doesn't give u the right to infringe n infect your community orur neighbor... Cut the crap out hiding behind a. God while your actions disrespect everything his only son gave up his life for.. Jesus was crucified because of political fractions who served. Him up.. To the Roman's.... Seems very little has changed... Clowns who hide behind their faith when it's clear their only faith is in their political games

Sorry Donny. You do not have the authority to override the state governors to open places of worship. It sounded good though.

What's wrong with virtual church? I don't understand. It's a great opportunity to reach people who don't usually go to church.

makes sense he would consider lying for money to be an essential service.

Perhaps it will help ignorant folks meet their maker quicker... and less trumpidiot voters. Just not fair to health care workers that have to treat the ignorant folks. Their is no suppression of religion... feel free to pray in or around your homes... why the need to gather...
