Newsom issues guidelines for California houses of worship to reopen

California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Monday issued guidelines for places of worship to begin resuming in-person services. Under the guidelines, churches will be allowed to reopen with approval from county public health officials, with a restriction of either 25% capacity or a maximum of 100 attendees. The move comes days after Trump called on governors across the country to reopen places of worship

Good. I am an atheist. History has shown us that if politics has killed thousands that faith has killed millions. Faith is the ultimate weapon as it does not rely upon the laws of physics or reason all it requires is that people believe and seek to spread and practice their belief: a weapon that cannot be countered without the persecution of free will. Even then religion in general has positive benefits: community, fraternity, ethical standards, charity, generosity, happy marriages, and good family life. While I may disagree with the more religious individuals of society upon the existence of a deity I am against the eradication of centuries of tradition that religion is responsible for. It is no better than imperialism to stomp down on it like certain radical elements of the left seem to be doing. Let the Pious practice their faith. It is their strength.
