Hong Kong’s security, police voice support for proposed security bill

Hong Kong’s security chiefs welcomed the proposed national security law, saying ’terrorism’ was growing in the city as thousands took to the streets to protest against the move. Police Commissioner Chris Tang said that they have recorded 14 cases where explosives were used since the protests began last year. The security legislation could see intelligence agencies set up bases in Hong Kong.
