The coronavirus is deadliest where Democrats live: NYT

According to an NYT analysis, counties won by Trump in 2016 have reported just 27% of the coronavirus infections and 21% of the deaths — even though 45% of Americans live in these communities. The difference in death rates between the red and blue regions, the paper says, has ’helped fuel deep disagreement over the dangers of the pandemic’, and in reopening businesses and the country as a whole.

It is probably due to the dense population in cities but it also could be lifestyle, more outdoorsy people usually have a better immune system.

Democrats tend to live in defiance of God, so pandemics, venereal disease, cancer and earthquakes hit them more often. It's natural.

It’s funny. The left blames Trump for his response but this chart is evidence towards the conservative notion of Governors being responsible for most of the suffering of their urban populous.

I'd be willing to go so far as to say that COVID-19 only affects democrats because Trump colluded with China to engineer it that way!! 🤣🌎🤡

Useless junk reporting. Densely populated ares tend to be Democrat. No trend in political views whatsoever. Junk junk junk reporting.

It’s not population density, it’s bad policy. Red Cities aren’t getting hit hard. Japan didn’t get hit hard. It’s just bad policy.

And yet the Trump denies them needed medical supplies; keeping them for GOP governors and his WH staff! Shame on so-called leader of America.

I was ashamed that the US government thought it necessary to explain to it's Citizens "How to wash your hands" This study explains it

Silly headline. Democrats tend to live in more densely populated areas.

HaHa! I've been saying this since the pandemic started. :D COVID, human feces, rats, crime, gangs, medieval diseases, racism... it's a long list of problems in the Democrat-controlled cities.

Meh, this goes fairly quickly from an objective take on the spread of the virus and its potential impact on different Americans perceptions, to an overt critique of Republicans and how they are not listening to 'factual' reporting.

How many international business travelers come in through bum fuck Kentucky? LOL. The main international hubs and most densely populated areas are in blue states it's common sense.

Remember this Democrats, you better vote trump this year, or you'll be getting corona 2: electric boogaloo. You've been warned.

Most places with high death tolls are Democrat controlled areas with severe lockdowns. I live about an hour and a half north or NYC. There have been 360 deaths out of about 10,000 infections and a total population of 385,000. The numbers aren't bad. 3.69% deaths of infected is pretty low and we don't even know how many have had it with no symptoms. Moreover, we don't know how many were actually nursing home residents and employees because we know for a fact that elderly testing positive were removed from hospitals and placed back in those death traps.

It's the lockdowns democrats want them to go longer than necessary even though 66% of new infections in NY are from people stuck at home

As tempting as it is to point to this as another example of how Republican policies work better, it is far more likely that the reason for the virus spreading more in Democrat led areas are that Democrats tend to get elected in urban areas which are obviously going to be more densely populated and this will allow the virus to spread faster.
