’Human capital stock is ready to get back to work’, says Hassett

Senior White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett is drawing flak for his comments that America’s ’human capital stock’ is ready to get back work. Hassett made the comments in response to a query around unemployment numbers. The term ’human stock’ has typically been associated with eugenics. ’Our capital stock hasn’t been destroyed, our human capital stock is ready to get back to work’, he said.

You know the guy wasn't talking about eugenics, just stop it.

The term sounds like slavery to me, even if I know it's not the intent. Stupid comment when leftists are going to take it and run with it. What is interesting is that Trump plans to reduce food stamps and stop a second stimulus package. To me that sounds like he's trying to force states to reopen since people won't be able to survive unless employed. It will also cut off the leeches who don't want to go back to work because they make more money at home.

Who gives a shit? He's correct.

Here we go again. Libtards and Lefties will unite behind this as their next Social Justice cause. With little else to do aside ‘no platforming’ and twisting people’s words to suit their poisonous narrative the claims of eugenics will ring on and the panic mongers on the left will screech endlessly.

Yes master, anything for the corporate leaders. Let us make you money while not having the safety protections we deserve, master.

Notice how the headlines of the articles all have Trump's name when it wasn't even Trump who said it. The media is trying to tie Trump to anything that will paint a bad picture of him.

Gotta love how the leftists missed the point entirely. Lefties never learn from their mistakes. To learn from a mistake would be to admit the existence of a flaw in their “oh so perfect” system.

I am sure it's a technical term the guy used without thinking about what it sounds like to the layman.

Damn the reach on this is ridiculous. Human capital, like sweat equity, is a common enough business term referring to people being an asset insomuch as people can work and thus build value. 🙄

This is nothing new. It’s just the first you’re hearing it.
