’I will not be bullied’, says Gov. Beshear reacting to the hanging of his effigy

Reacting to anti-lockdown protesters having hung an effigy of his, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said he will ’not be afraid’. ’I will not be bullied. And I will not back down. Not to them, and not to anybody else’, Beshear added, stressing that he will ’continue to do what’s right’. An effigy of Beshear was hung during a protest over Memorial Day weekend.

Sounds like it was just one guy who hung it and the protestors are the ones who cut it down.

Destroying the economy, what a hero. Bravely putting people into poverty.

I think that protest was handled appropriately, but this response of open Tyranny is not going to work for the gov long term. For context, 1 - 3 indivuals at the protest hung the effigy, the other protestors took it down. Ultimately, this is how the first amendment should be handled. Responding to this like there isn't the underlying sentiment is simply asking for response to this Tyranny. I hope the federal government acts before the People decide to.

Well you should be afraid of losing your position come November. Let the people get back to work.
