House Republicans to sue Pelosi over remote proxy voting in pandemic

House Republicans are preparing to file a lawsuit against Speaker Nancy Pelosi in an attempt to thwart the use of proxy voting during the pandemic. The lawsuit will argue that the rule changes are unconstitutional and will seek to block the new system passed by the Democratic-majority House and intended to allow the chamber to function while observing social distancing guidelines.

Democrats would have to be the laziest offspring of n.on ma.le dogs voters in the world. Mail in and proxy voting because they cannot be bothered to get off their bums and be their in person. Members of Congress who proxy vote should have their pay docked accordingly.

On the one hand, I don’t think proxy voting for congressional votes is a bad idea (actually probably a great idea), however this would probably be congressional overreach to simply make this the law without explicitly amending the constitution (which shouldn’t be too hard for something like this).

You would think the Senate would be more worried about being together in one room. They're all generally a lot older
