EU proposes €750B coronavirus recovery fund

The European Commission unveiled plans for a Euro 750 billion recovery fund amid the COVID-19 crisis. It will borrow these funds and then disburse them via the European budget. They will be repaid between 2028 and 2058. The amount includes Euros 500 billion in grants and Euros 250 billion in loans to member states.

Because of the German Constitutional Court decision to stop ECB printing money to buy Italian debt, this will be the means in which it is done instead. By the time the Mediterranean countries crash out of the EU the northern countries will be glad to see them go.
