Brazil’s Bolsonaro could soon be toppled, analysts say, as Covid-19 cases surge

Brazil’s Jair Bolsonaro could be toppled as the country’s president, say analysts, as the leader’s dismissive attitude towards the pandemic have cost many lives. Brazil is currently the hotspot of Covid-19, with more cases reported in a week than any other country. Analysts say Bolsonaro has repeatedly downplayed the impact of the virus, often condemning states’ confinement measures for job loses

Brazil has pretty good numbers for this virus so far. Why is the press so bad? Brazil is at 117 deaths/million which is quite low. Canada for instance is far worse at 182 and we don't hear a peep about Trudeau getting the boot. We don't hear this about Belgium with there extremely high 817 deaths/million, bit we hear about Sweden constantly while they are at 405 deaths/million. Just very odd that they would claim that Brazil is doing poorly when you look at the numbers. Something else propaganda wise is obviously at play here. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1104709/coronavirus-deaths-worldwide-per-million-inhabitants/

Good. One less wannabe dictator in the world. Brazil deserves better.

"So far" doing a lot of heavy lifting there. Brazil is much later into their curve, and rising rapidly.
