CDC warns of starving, aggressive rats amid COVID-19 garbage shortage

The CDC has warned of an ’aggressive’ behaviour in rats as they are unable to find food due to the closing of restaurants, bars and a general decrease in food waste due to the lockdown. ’Some jurisdictions have reported an increase in rodent activity as rodents search for new sources of food,’ the CDC warned. The CDC advises residents to eliminate conditions that may attract and support rodents.
