Zookeeper critically mauled in lion attack in Shoalhaven, Australia

A zookeeper has been critically injured after she was attacked by two lions in Australia. The 35-year-old woman suffered severe face and neck injuries at Shoalhaven Zoo, south of Sydney. She had been cleaning the enclosure when she was attacked. ’The attack was extremely vicious’, said an official from New South Wales Ambulance.

Why are you cleaning their enclosure with them in it. They are cats sure but big enough to rip your face off with a paw or their spikey tongue.

The attack wasn't "vicious". It was as natural as it can be within a caged environment. The use of "vicious" infers some kind of evil intent and anthropomorphizes a completely normal animal behavior.

Had to be a human error in the method of securing doors... To the lions she was but a free meal.. She is extremely lucky to be alive...
