New Zealand down to just one active Covid-19 case

The country recorded no new known cases for the 7th day in a row and gatherings of up to 100 people are now permitted while maintaining safety protocols. This accomplishment is attributed to the decisive actions taken by Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, in the early stages of the global outbreak. NZ’s total number of confirmed cases stands at 1154, with 22 deaths and a single active case.

Why are people comparing NZ's response to the US? We are a small island at the bottom of the world with a tiny population not the 3rd largest population with multiple states and jurisdictions. Our economy is in tatters, unemployment is sky rocketing especially compared to OZ and there infection reduction is on par with ours without going into full lockdown.

Must be nice to be a small island...

Anyone who still thinks Trump had a stellar response is wilfully ignoring reality at this point.

I'm very happy for the people of New Zealand. I just wish the same could be said for the US.
