Colin Kaepernick comes out in support of Minneapolis protesters

Colin Kaepernick, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback weighed in on the death of George Floyd, and said that when ’civility leads to death, revolting is the only logical reaction’. Taking to Twitter, Mr. Kaepernick further said that people have the right to fight back.

Nobody cares what this guy thinks about anything.

Kap wants a new Nike contract for his personal 'Revolting' line of shoes. Supple enough for kneeling, but reinforced toe and heel for looting.

Only logical option? Yes burning and looting places is a "logical" option to protest police violence. Shut the hell up Colin the world needs your voice like we need flat earthers.

Why doesn't he come to the low-income neighborhoods where housing and small business is currently drenched in fire and soot and tell those people, most of whom are minorities, how he supports their entire lives burning away and being pillaged and destroyed?

When he was kneeling for the National Anthem ahead of football games, I didn't like it and I didn't agree with him, and I still don't; but I was willing to grant him points for being peaceful and generally putting his money where his mouth is. I could tolerate the cynical political pandering of the Nike spokesmanship even though I found it annoying. But way to incinerate (no pun intended) my good will. Idiot. Would he be so enthusiastic if these rioters drove off the NYPD and burned down his million dollar condo?

In one sentence, Kaepernick just lost me when his point seemed stronger then ever. Looters and Rioters aren't activist, they're anarchist using tragedy of others to shield themselves from the police.

They're not gonna buy your shoes Kaepernick. They're gonna loot them.

Even Obama said looters should be treated like criminals in a NYT article dated April 28, 2015. He also says they are taking advantage of a situation, paraphrasing. It's a fun read!

Fk anyone who hates this guy. He sacrifice his kush job for something he cares alot about and he's fkng right. How many years ago was he kneeling? It's still going on. Nothing has changed. And he did not disrespect America by doing this so whoever is gona come back w the standard ignorant argument with zero substance just keep it fking moving. Not even gona read it. Your a waist of flesh.

Looting n terrorizing fellow citizens does not honor n bring awareness for M Mr floyd. Nor his surviving family members in this time of grief... Cooler heads n wiser protests that put a spot light on injustice bring honor to Mr floyd... You can keep the pressure on in far better ways.. N not feed into the already pre existing mentality that is clearly out there which gives a license to those who have never respected you n brutalized you for centuries and dehumanized you based on the color of your skin... Show the world n each other the extraordinary content of your character... Be better n still protest but don't break the law looting your hard working neighbors... I know it's painful deeply painful but don't play into the hands of those who hate... Don't be them... Best them.. By outing them n demanding non stop justice equally under the law unbiased n not terrorized by any thug hiding within the ranks of police... Be wise n vigilant... George Floyd's memory as a person husband brother son father and fellow citizen deserves such respect by we who yes are outraged by his murder.... Never again.. It must stop and those who do such crap must be outted and properly charged under the law... Don't let them close ranks to excuse it because protests have been misused by those doing same kind of crap those four rogue cops did... His family does not need more deaths and violence on their hands.. Losing George is tragic enuff...

Fight back, but don't burn or steal from someone else's property, there's not excuse for that, not even with other thousand Floyd incidents. Like Twatter said: stop glorifying violence.

Your comments are a call to violence. Why isn't twatter blocking them?

Looting and burning a community isn't going to bring back George Floyd, anymore than bombing the Middle East undoing 9/11.

He so desperately wants this to be a race riot. It's not. There were all sorts of people looting. What they did appear to have in common (being scum aside) was a lot of anti-capitalist and anarchist sentiment.

So he is in support of burning down local businesses, vandalizing civilian vehicles, torching low income housing, etc? I have even seen reports of rape, murder, and kidnapping during these riots. What a guy.

I agree what happened is disgusting but don't support the "protests", ask yourself this, if MLK and his followers in their March on DC looted, burned, robbed and destroyed private property, what would've happened to the civil rights act? They would've turned public opinion against them.

I'm in favor of the real protesters too. But how many are just common looters and bandits?
