NASA astronauts launched by SpaceX, first crewed commercial flight

Two NASA astronauts, Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken, launched into orbit on a rocket and capsule system Crew Dragon, provided by Elon Musk’s company SpaceX on Saturday. Their trip to the International Space Station will take 19 hours. It is the first NASA crewed mission since 2011 when the Space Shuttle was retired. They also successfully piloted the craft manually in a test of back-up capability.

Musk is a bellend but, I'll give him credit, there hasn't been this much excitement around a space launch for decades.
