5,000 National Guard troops activated to respond to unrest in 15 states

About 5,000 National Guard troops in 15 states and the DC have been activated to help quell the unrest stemming from the death of George Floyd, the Guard said, adding that 2000 additional troops are ready if needed. The Minnesota Department of Public Safety said that with the support of the Guard the security forces would triple in size to add to address a sophisticated network of urban warfare.
