Coronavirus: test case on on whether UK insurers should pay out on policies

The U.K. Financial Conduct Authority accepted a test case on whether insurance policies should pay out millions of pounds to firms hit by the coronavirus pandemic. The FCA said the test case in July would ’provide clarity’ to policy holders and that other insurers could be affected. It follows complaints from firms, some of whom say they could go under after insurers refused to cover their losses.
