Music Industry blackout announced in protest over George Floyd killing

Music industry giants are coming together in solidarity with the black community days after George Floyd’s death at the hands of police in Minneapolis. Universal Music Group, Sony, Atlantic, and Capitol were just a few of the companies who have announced they will be observing ’Black Out Tuesday’ on June 2. The record labels have agreed to halt their business activities for one day.
