Andrew Cuomo supports repeal of law keeping police disciplinary records secret

Andrew Cuomo, the Governor of New York promised that he would sign a bill which will repeal a law used to keep police disciplinary records secret. Governor Cuomo said that he supports the repeal of Civil Rights Law 50-a. The move comes amid protests across the United States following the death of George Floyd.

It's a start.. Now mandate state wide training standards on post use of force drug etoh and steroid testing on cops involved use of force..... Kills me cops complain public won't speak when they need help but then again cops won't come forward on rogue cops either.. And it's a micro culture within a department operating outside the standard with a US VS them attitude that often breeds rogue pissants not real cops

I don't care if their scum 9r good cops thisvis still an invasion of privacy! Should the records be easily accessible for any judge? Yes. Jo-shmo? No. This'll be used just to drive a wedge further between the civilians and the police.
