The Chinese government in recent weeks has been making encroachments on HK’s rights using the new security law approved by the parliament in Beijing. Following international condemnation, the UK foreign secretary Dominic Rabb said that it will prioritise the people of Hong Kong over a free trade agreement with China, something that has been in the world for years.
I would like to see the G8 have a summit in regards to HK, a united condemnation by the wealthiest countries who could propose sanctions against China's actions would be the best result for all. UK and US providing visas for HK citizens is not the best solution especially UKs proposal which would not apply to the youth who have been the loudest voices in the protests.
*Everyone liked that*
